ASL or A/S/L is shorthand for Age, Sex, and Location and is commonly used in chat rooms to quickly obtain information about a user. How old they are, whether they are male or female, and where in the world they are located. Below is an example of how this would be used and the response given.

User1: A/S/L?
User2: 26/M/Utah

There are also variations of A/S/L, such as A/S/L/P or ASLP, which is short for Age, Sex, Location, and Picture.
