Multiple sessions CD-R

Multiple Session CD-R discs were first implemented by Kodak to allow CD-R disks to be written to until the CD is completely full. As with the traditional CD-R you cannot erase data once written to the disc, however, this will allow you to use the same disc until it is full. You must have a XA-compliant or XA-ready CD-ROM drive to read all the sessions on a CD-R disc so discs created using this technique may not work on all computers. If the drive is not compatible your access is limited to the data in the first session recorded.
Note: When creating a disc using a CD burning program many will ask you or have a check box asking if you wish to close the session. If closed this would also prevent any further information from being written onto the disc..
